OUR STORY

MAADE Naturally was born out of an idea one day, when I couldn’t lay my hands on one of my regular lip glosses. My lips constantly gets dry and peels easily. I ended up using Shea butter that was within reach. The effect of Shea butter on my lips gave birth to curiosity and opened a new world of research into the natural world of beauty for me.

At the time, one of my DD had been battling with eczema and has been on steroids and conventional creams for a while. It wasn’t very satisfying for me as I did not see much difference. I then thought to myself, there has to be another way.

As a health conscious mum, I started my research, looking for other options of providing relief to eczema.  I felt the need to look into a healthier way of reducing the chemicals absorbed on DD’s skin on a daily basis. I decided to work with mother nature to provide her skin with healthy benefits. Almost everything we put on our skin gets absorbed and have a long-term impact on our health and wellbeing. Thankfully, we have been able to keep the eczema under control, with a huge decrease in redness and itchiness.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

A lot of unhealthy ingredients have been used over the years in making our beauty products especially our lips, which is the entrance to our mouth.  Don’t get me wrong, regular glosses/lipsticks are good with high-shine and long-lasting but also can be harmful, as we can potentially ingest dangerous chemicals or toxic ingredients. Instead, we can opt for a naturally derived lip gloss that is healthy, beneficial and also vibrant. What better way to harness everything mother nature has blessed us with into healthier beauty option?

As someone who studied Biochemistry and Health promotion, I ethically source and choose the safest ingredients that goes into my product and it’s my utmost responsibility to make sure my products are produced hygienically in a way that it  does not cause harm to you, to me and my girls.

Growing up, I have always loved to DIY some of my hair and face products, but I have never made attempt at body or lip care products.

I was hooked with the discovery of various natural ingredients available that is much healthier and provides so much luxurious benefits for the skin. For me living healthy it’s a continuous journey. I am constantly learning and trying out new things. I am taking small steps in the right direction all the time and adopting new healthy habits as I go along life, so also can you!

After a lot of endless research and sleepless nights, trials and failed attempts, I was able to make my very first lip balm that came out nearly perfect. That was the point that got me hooked ever since. My girls love to put on lip glosses and balms, so that was my driving force. I jumped on the decision to use natural lip care products, since half of everything we put on lips end up being ingested. Moreover, lip gloss is one of the must haves that will stay in our home for a long time, hence, why I made a HEALTHY decision for US and for YOU. We strongly believe in the saying “Prevention is better and cheaper than cure”.
